School District 93 (SD93) - Budget Consultation - 2024-2025 - Indigenous

PARTICIPATING IN THE CONSULTATION

In accordance with the BC School Act, the Budget Transparency and Accountability Act, and SD93 policy P-1006, we invite you to share your opinion as we develop the 2023-24 SD93 budget.

Your participation in this survey is important to our school board.

PURPOSE OF THE CONSULTATION

For the year 2023-2024, the SD93 wishes to consult all members of its community in order to establish a budget allocation according to the main pillars of the 2021-2026 strategic plan.

The budget allocated for this year will be aligned with the following three ministerial priorities:

- Reconciliation

- Anti-racism

- Early childhood

Your responses will help us meet the needs of our students, staff, and community. These responses will also allow us to ask the Ministry to respect the educational equivalency between anglophone and francophone students as stipulated by the Supreme Court of Canada decision in 2020.

We invite you to fill out the "consultation" section and to share your thoughts in the "ideas" section.

RESULTS OF THE CONSULTATION

The results of this survey will be analyzed and presented at a public meeting of the SD93 Board. They will be used in the preparation of the 2023-24 preliminary budget which will be voted on in May or June of this year.

DURATION OF THE CONSULTATION

Responses to the questions will be received until Thursday February 16, 2023.
